AGENCY RELATIONSHIPS IN BRITISH COLUMBIA

As of June 2018, there is a ban on B.C. real estate agents practising "dual agency" – representing both a buyer and a seller in a real estate transaction. So from now on, the listing agent is not able to represent/help the buyer in the same real estate transaction, and the buyer has two options... the buyer may choose to be presented by a buyer's agent or try to do the transaction by themselves/unrepresented, without the help of the buyer's agent.

Check out the following documents that explain this new, more transparent way of helping our clients.
